CAAD Building

Modern computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines give the possibility of
producing complex and unique products at the price point of mass produced products.
These manufacturing systems do not require a regular grid, but are based on logic-
driven manufacturing and assembly processes which allow for a great diversity of
forms. Participants develop building systems which consist of parametric components
which are then 'printed' by CNC machines. By using the computer for processing data in
the design process, and then translating the design directly from CAD to CNC machines
for manufacturing, the value of the compuquality of the final architectural product.
