Katharina Bosch M.A. Kunstwissenschaft




Katharina Bosch was studying "kunstwissenschaft und medientheorie, architekturgeschichte und philosophie" at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe.
Since then she is used to work together in a team with different professions: During her last years at the university, she started a complex multimedia project together with Andrea Gleiniger and Susanne Schumacher.
The CD-ROM "weisse vernunft" tells the story of the German housing development of the 20th, the network of the protagonists (architects, artists and employers of the city governement e.a.) and the connection with the experiments reforming the life in Weimar Germany.
Her magister work reconstructed the medial aspects of the housing exhibitions in the 20th century and also the collaborative aspects of these early but ambitious exhibition events (like the famous "Berliner Bauausstellung in 1930" curated by Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich and the section at the "Art decoratif Paris 1929" curated by Walter Gropius, Herbert Bayer and Moholy Nagy).
Since October 2001 Katharina Bosch is working as an assistant at the chair of CAAD. Together with Susanne Schumacher she makes the concept for the Diplomwahlfach replay. 		  Up to now four different seminars have taken place: replay01 was a multimedia application about the Philips Pavillon (a collaborative masterpiece from Le Corbusier , Edgar Varese and Jannis Xennakis), replay02 an interactive exhibition about different aspects of the atelier house of the Russian avantgarde architect Konstantin Melnikov, replay03 transfers the orders of columns in the beschreibungssprache XML and replay04 developed picture browser with new posibilities to presentate, order and search for digital pictures specialized for the use of architects.
The last replay is related to the Phd Katharina Bosch is working for: "analog, digitalized and digital picture archives in the architectural context". With several examples the question will be examined if the usage of pictures in the architectural context is changing,
developing new orders for managing digital pictures, search criteria.
Working together in an interdisciplinary team, to find suggestions and new methods one´s own profession. is a challenge to find a common language.
